The information on this form is collected under the authority of the University Act (R.S.B.C. 1996, c.468). It is collected, protected, used, disclosed and retained in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 165). This information is being collected for the purpose of capturing necessary information to evaluate and select potential FAS student ambassadors, send out email communications as well as to provide updates on the Ambassador Program with the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS). ELIGIBILITY:

• Active student in the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS)
• In good academic standing (CGPA above 2.4 is preferred)
• Effective communicator with the ability to work as part of a team
• Able to demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, dependability, and initiative

 

 

TIME COMMITMENT:

• Participate in a minimum 2-3 events every month (approx 8-10 hrs/month)
• Attend all training sessions
• Be available to have monthly check-ins with the Student Affairs Unit (SAU)

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the recruitment of new students via presentations, campus tours, virtual chats, and recruitment events
• Supports FAS engagement initiatives including social events, engagement programs, email communications, and other
• Acts as a mentor for our TechConnect students
• Assists with event planning, setup, coordination, data keeping, and operation logistics
• Creates and build positive rapport with prospective students, parents, counsellors, and current students -
• Other projects or duties as required
