CSIL Remote Access

VPN

These instructions require you to either be on the campus network, or have the SFU VPN active, but not both.

SSH at a command line

If you have a Linux-like (including MacOS terminal) command line, you can replace "USERNAME" with your SFU username and "NAME" with one of the CSIL workstation names, possibly chosen from the workstation map.

ssh -p24 USERNAME@NAME.csil.sfu.ca

The computer you connect to must be running in Linux (not Windows) for this to work, so some strategy to pick one that is in Linux (possibly, knowing if there are courses that are Windows-based in one of the rooms at some point).

Remote Desktop
