Quiz 10 grading nodes
Introduction
Here are broad strokes for the two short answer questions. Grade according to the core idea with consideration for presentation (formatting/grammar/spelling/punctuation). The weigh is 6:4 (60% on idea; 40% on presentation).
Question
Reflect on the five articles and also your experiences to date with the technologies mentioned. You should definitely draw on your work experiences but academic experiences to date (e.g., course work and/or term projects) are legitimate too. And certainly include technologies and learnings from this course that were not mentioned in the articles.
Write a 500 words reflection on this set of reading. To organize your reflection, use the targets below as your guide.
1. Three points/facts that you are new to you.
2. Two surprises that you weren't aware of previously.
3. One point that is worthy of sharing with your term project team.
(6 marks content + 4 marks presentation)
A. There are no wrong answer for this question. However, a student's response will reflect the student's grasp of the material and his/her ability to present a line of thought.
The 6 points is to be awarded for each of the 3/2/1. A coherent/sensible point merits a full point. It's also reasonable to score this content section based on your impression of the overall scope/direction of their reflection.
The 4 points can be awarded based on the overall presentation of the reflection. A 4 would be something that is publish-able without any reservation. I.e., you would not be surprised if you saw it in a formal publication (e.g., a solid blog post but not an informal forum post). I expect a 3 to be a step down... a typical forum post that may have minor issues. Two and one are for writing that needs proof-reading and/or serious edit.
