CMPT 320 D1
Implications of a Computerized Society
CMPT 320
Simon Fraser University
Spring 2022
Course Status. SFU policy is not to run hybrid courses: This means that every course is designed for only on-line attendance or only in-person attendance but not both. This is an in-person course. Some of the implications are as follows.
- Exams must be taken in a classroom.
- Quizzes will be either in-class or on-line (announced ahead of time).
- Lecture slides will be posted.
- There will be no lecture recordings.
Update:
- SFU President Johnson has announced that as a temporary measure, classes will be run on-line until Jan 24. As far as I know we'll go back to in-person instruction after Jan 24.
- President Johnson has linked to a letter from the Provincial Health Officer with more details about BC policy regarding post-secondary instruction. The province recommends in-person instruction.
- Jan 21: The provincial health officer has written a second letter to University Presidents about return to campus.
